Our Community Engagement (CE) Team at PA Distance Learning Charter School can often be found traveling across Pennsylvania to hold educational teacher-led field trips and help sessions. Members also organize special events to empower and engage students and families throughout the school year.

Every child deserves to feel special and loved. That’s what Ms. Jessica Sapp thought when she had the idea to organize a Valentine’s Day project at the start of her teaching career.
Throughout this week, we recognize the importance of School Choice, or the ability of every family to decide the educational option that is best for their child. While some children may succeed in an in-person classroom, others might benefit from a magnet, charter, online, private, or home learning environment.

Students Showcase Their Talent at the Annual Winter Concert
Last month, PA Distance Learning Charter School students exhibited their unique talents at the Annual Winter Concert! Individuals in grades K-12 connected digitally to perform original compositions, well-known tunes, group projects, and class creations. This year also included fun activities, staff performances, and special guests.
What brings people together more than food? That’s what our ESL Coordinator, Mrs. Butter, thought when she developed the idea for a PA Distance Learning Charter School Cultural Cookbook last month.

Mr. Dayka has been a teacher at PA Distance for six years, starting in the English department before becoming certified to teach web design, cyber security, and computer science. He also instructs a Cultural and Literary Studies class with Mr. Mysels.
