When the Anime Club at PA Distance Learning Charter School was in need of a staff mentor, Secondary English Teacher Mrs. Lauren Donofrio stepped in to learn more about this unique art form.
Members of the Aspiring Authors Club at PA Distance Learning Charter School have been working systematically on a collection of original poetry and short stories. The composition, titled “Shadows of the Mind,” has already been submitted to print and will be available as a physical copy to students within the coming weeks.

Families of PA Distance Charter School students in Elkland (Tioga County) and Galeton (Potter County) have come together to form their own community. They visit each other, get involved with the school, and provide feedback regarding their child’s educational experience.

Members also encourage their peers to exhibit characteristics that emulate four positive habits: organization, self-advocacy, working independently, and attendance.

Our Community Engagement (CE) Team at PA Distance Learning Charter School can often be found traveling across Pennsylvania to hold educational teacher-led field trips and help sessions. Members also organize special events to empower and engage students and families throughout the school year.
