Every child deserves to feel special and loved. That’s what Ms. Jessica Sapp thought when she had the idea to organize a Valentine’s Day project at the start of her teaching career.
Working with children has always been a significant part of Chelsea White’s life. Before graduating from La Roche University in May 2020 with a bachelor’s in Early Education and Special Education, she was employed at a daycare in her hometown of Pittsburgh.
Throughout this week, we recognize the importance of School Choice, or the ability of every family to decide the educational option that is best for their child. While some children may succeed in an in-person classroom, others might benefit from a magnet, charter, online, private, or home learning environment.

Students Showcase Their Talent at the Annual Winter Concert
Last month, PA Distance Learning Charter School students exhibited their unique talents at the Annual Winter Concert! Individuals in grades K-12 connected digitally to perform original compositions, well-known tunes, group projects, and class creations. This year also included fun activities, staff performances, and special guests.
As a reminder in the new year, we are here to help you navigate your role as a PA Distance parent/guardian every step of the way. However, we want you to know that parents/guardians of PA Distance students are expected to be involved in student academic progress as a facilitator, not a teacher.
