Ruthie Waters, of Washington, PA, graduated from PA Distance in 2019 after enrolling for her senior year. Along with her enrollment came that of her three younger siblings, Robert, Giovanni, and Samantha, who also found success in our cyber learning environment.

Families Don’t Have to Worry About Back-to-School Shopping at PA Distance
When a child is enrolled at PA Distance they receive shipments with all of the necessary materials required for the entire school year including technology equipment, school supplies, and class-specific items like novels, music equipment, art supplies, and laboratory gear.
Although many of these class-specific items are not shipped out to each student until their schedules are finalized, new students receive a Technology Kit and (new and returning students receive) a Welcome Kit before the very first day of school.

Class of 2008 Valedictorian Austin Bissot Is Now a Pennsylvania Math Teacher
Class of 2008 graduate Austin Bissot was one of the first students to enroll when our cyber school was formed in 2004. In the 14 years since then, Austin has been busy running her own classroom teaching mathematics to 6th graders at Waynesboro Area Middle School in Waynesboro, PA.

Courses for the 2022-2023 School Year Encourage Curiosity & Discovery
PA Distance offers students a wide variety of engaging core subject courses, including honors courses, AP courses, world language courses, and unique elective course options. Our classes also have a strong foundation in Career Education & Work (CEW) and help each of our students discover what interests them and what they would like to pursue post-graduation. From computer science to veterinary science, our students have access to courses that might introduce them to a future career path.
