Courses for the 2022-2023 School Year Encourage Curiosity & Discovery

PA Distance offers students a wide variety of engaging core subject courses, including honors courses, AP courses, world language courses, and unique elective course options. Our classes also have a strong foundation in Career Education & Work (CEW) and help each of our students discover what interests them and what they would like to pursue post-graduation. From computer science to veterinary science, our students have access to courses that might introduce them to a future career path.

For example, PA Distance is thrilled to offer high school students a brand new A/V Production elective course for the 2022-2023 school year. This A/V course is intended as a practical, hands-on guide to help students understand the skills and path required to succeed in modern-day audio- and video-focused careers.

Class of 2022 graduate and valedictorian Isabella (Bella) Rios took advantage of (almost all of) them.

“I was able to take Spanish, Forensic Science, Engineering, Music Appreciation & Percussion, Veterinary Science, and American Sign Language,” Bella explained. “I also loved taking Computer Science and Coding, too. I think I have taken almost all of the electives possible.”

Originally, I wanted to be an ichthyologist (a scientist who studies fish), but the Career Education & Work Career Days we had at PA Distance helped me discover environmental science,” she said. “We are offered so many resources. Your personality and interests are always nourished.”

PA Distance students and prospective families can explore our Elementary, Middle School, and High School academic pages for more information.
