In the spirit of National School Choice Week, we want to thank the parents who have chosen PA Distance Learning Charter School for their children. Your choice and involvement in your child’s education have played an essential role in our school’s success. We also want to thank all of our teachers and staff for their commitment to our students and to making PA Distance the best it can be. Most importantly, we want to recognize our incredible students, whose dedication to their own learning inspires all of us every day.
National School Choice Week provides our school community with a chance to show off our school spirit and spread the word about how we are making a positive difference in the lives of our students. We have several activities and events planned for the week—and we will all be wearing our NSCW yellow fleece scarves with gratitude during this time.
We look forward to telling the PA Distance Learning Charter School story during the week, and we hope you will join us in celebrating!

Monday, January 27th - Wear Yellow Day!
We ask that all PA Distance students, parents, and staff wear the color yellow to celebrate National School Choice Week. Students and parents will have the opportunity to submit a photo of themselves wearing yellow so we can share it on our social media!
Thursday, January 30th - Celebrating School Choice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Planned by a diverse coalition of organizations, schools, and community leaders, this special event will celebrate school choice options available for children and families across the State of Pennsylvania. This event, which is one of National School Choice Week’s official flagship event for the state, will take place at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School and will feature a student showcase including remarks by students, teachers, and supporters.
