Ms. Stephanie Faith, joined the ranks at PA Distance during the 2020-2021 school year as the Special Education Coordinator. Although she is new to the cyber education world, she is not new to the education world having held several positions as a special education and regular education teacher, assistant principal, principal, school psychologist and special education coordinator.

11th-grader, Zoey Scott, from Dillsburg, PA, joined the PA Distance family last year. Since then, she has gotten to know her teachers and furthered her love for art. She has also had an opportunity to continue playing soccer and practicing to go pro one day.

There is no doubt that video games are extremely popular among young adults, including PA Distance students. A recent Pew Research Center study showed that more than 95 percent of high school-age boys and nearly 85 percent of high school-age girls play video games. The study explains that teenagers are making friends while playing video games and are staying connected with their peers at the same time. Today, professional esports are combining popular streaming services with social networking - two things with which teenagers are very familiar.

Mr. Evan Rumble knew he wanted to be a teacher, specifically an art teacher when he was in high school. You could usually find him hanging out in the art room with his friends where he could be creative and observe what it was like to teach, too.

Students Learning to Code & Create Websites in Computer Science Courses
The new PA Distance Computer Science program is in full swing. The program, which was rolled out in the 2018-2019 school year, will build year-over-year by introducing new courses for various grade levels. PA Distance believes that computer science is for ALL students and our goal is to offer multiple computer science and technology courses to all students in grades K-12. The courses offered will provide students with the skills they need to succeed in this modern, technology-savvy world. The entire program, and the 13 courses it offers, will be fully implemented at PA Distance by the 2022-2023 school year.
