The PA Distance Fine Arts department, consisting of our Art and Music teachers, put together exciting activities to celebrate March’s Youth Arts Month. From virtual art museum tours to a staff-wide event showcasing in-class work to gathering student submissions for virtual showcases and concerts, the Fine Arts Department is highlighting the importance of an arts education with help from the new STEAM Hub.

The excitement behind Matilda, and the Book Buddies program, isn’t the only example of a love for reading at PA Distance. The Literary Club also encourages reading, and discussion about literature, that interests the students themselves.

March 2nd is known as “Read Across America Day”, the first full week in March is also “Read Across America Week'', and finally, the entire month of March is labeled as National Reading Month. Throughout March students, teachers, parents, and community members around the country come together to read books and celebrate the joy of reading.
