Ms. Berger, the World Language teacher, will be offering virtual French and Spanish summer camps for elementary students during the week of July 5. Spanish for grades K-2 will meet daily from 9:30-10:30 and grades 3-5 will meet from 1-2PM. French for grades K-2 will meet from 11-12PM and grades 3-5 will meet from 2:30-3:30. National School Choice Week Poster and Essay Contest Winners
All week at PA Distance Learning we have discussed that the idea behind National School Choice Week is to raise public awareness of all types of education options for children. These options include traditional public schools, private schools and cyber schools just like PA Distance Learning. We took an in-depth look at staff member and former PA Distance Learning graduate, Olivia Porter and her fantastic school choice story! We also asked students and families to enter our Poster and Essay Contest this week. Let me tell you, the submissions we received were amazing, well thought out and very much appreciated. On December 17th, at 1:00 PM, all the world’s a stage as 10 courageous PA Distance performers take the limelight. Be there, or be square.
Okay…so maybe our Winter Concert isn’t that dramatic, but it is one of the coolest events of the year! Think about it: our students, our classmates, or we ourselves, perform for the whole school. This is something special. Elisa Carpenter, our lovely music teacher, has put together an extracurricular concert featuring students from grades 2-12.
