TED: Three Rules to Spark Learning

A new year brings new opportunities, new struggles, new ideas, and new friendships.  Moving through this year, PA Distance Learning wants to encourage its wonderful parents, students, and teachers toward a bright future by sharing stories and ideas from those who are bettering our world.

After a life-threatening heart condition, an excellent surgeon taught this high school educator a few things about teaching.

Ramsey Musallam gives three rules to spark learning:

Curiosity comes first.

Embrace the mess.

Practice reflection.

"What we do is important. It deserves our care, but it also deserves our revision. Can we be the surgeons of our classrooms? As if what we are doing one day will save lives. Our students our worth it. And each case is different."
-Ramsey Musallam
