Have you ever met someone that can instantly become friends with everyone in the room, and somehow help everyone else become friends too?
One of our 6th graders, Maximilian Vivino, has that ability, plus many more! Perhaps you’ve seen him on a commercial, or maybe you’ve heard him singing on the big stage. His rich voice belts pitches most of us could only squeak out.
Max lives a busy life full of auditions, callbacks, rehearsals, and show nights, and Max has had a lot of show nights in his young life. He had the lead as Young Tarzan, Jojo from Seussical, Pugsley in the Addams Family, Prince Charming in Cinderella, Lamar in Godspell – you get the point!
For every question I asked, Max followed up with a question for me. For every teacher I mentioned, he followed up with a huge compliment about them. He even told me I deserve the company Mercedes (still working on that). His positivity might just be as big as his voice!
When I asked him what he loved most about performing, he burst, “I love all my cast mates!” He went on to tell me about the backstage jokes and how even though the directors tell them not to talk backstage, that’s also one of his favorite parts. He also loves standing ovations and making an audience happy.
Max’s crazy talent and crazy schedule demand he be enrolled in a school that can support his talents, as well as the way he learns. Being such a social kid, PA Distance Learning seems a perfect fit. Max loves his live learning classes and getting to talk to his teachers and classmates day to day, whether he’s attending from home or from a coffee shop before an audition.
Speaking of auditions, Max had his biggest audition yet this fall. As a result, Max has landed the role of Theo in the musical Pippin. Max will be part of the 2017 National Tour, making his way from Washington all the way back to the east coast.
The PA Distance Learning staff is excited to cheer Max on from afar and support him during this exciting journey.
